Short Zygomatic Buttress Implants: A Technical Note
摘要
This technical note introduces a modified surgical technique using short zygomatic implants (< 30 mm), allowing the implant head to emerge in the second or third molar region. This approach eliminates distal cantilevers, enhances posterior implant support and improves load distribution. The flap elevation is lesser and the implant follows a largely extrasinus path. The technique provides a valuable alternative to conventional zygoma or quad zygoma protocols.
