Reticent Stafne’s Bone Defect: An Incidental Finding
摘要
A 74-year-old male reported with the chief complaint of mobile teeth in his lower left back tooth region of jaw for 6 months. On radiograph, Stafne’s bone cyst [SBC] was incidental finding. The authors opted for a surgical intervention followed by a biopsy. The report was suggestive of no pathologies, which confirmed the diagnosis to be that of Stafne’s cyst. Evidence-based research is required to clarify its development and aetiology. Dentists and maxillofacial surgeons should be knowledgeable with SBC when performing routine procedures or when assessing radiographs as often its an incidental finding.
