摘要

Due to its unusual occurrence in the oral and maxillofacial region, a suspicion of the oral tuberculous manifestation does not arise, particularly in the absence of a positive history of systemic infection or therapy. Diagnosing a case of tuberculous osteomyelitis involving the mandible in the absence of pathognomonic signs of tuberculous infection, particularly in a juvenile patient, is extremely difficult. We report a similar case with an intention to caution the clinicians that the documented cases of tuberculous osteomyelitis in the oral and maxillofacial region are increasing in the recent past.
