Lehren und Lernen mit und über Medien im Sportunterricht

摘要

Children and young people are growing up in a digital world. This makes media education goals and content in schools increasingly important. For this reason, the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (KMK) decided in 2016 in its “Education in the Digital World” strategy that digital teaching and learning formats should be integrated into lessons, and media skills should be promoted in all subjects. This also applies to physical education (PE). Teachers can be seen as key players in the implementation process. It is therefore necessary to analyze their views on teaching with and about (digital) media in PE lessons. Within this thematic framework, sports teachers (N = 20) from comprehensive schools (n = 7) and grammar schools (n = 13) in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, were surveyed in a guided interview study between July and December 2022. The results indicate that PE teachers have an ambivalent view of media education tasks. Furthermore, it also apparent that already known subject-cultural ideas of PE teachers with regard to the staging of media education tasks lead to a neglect of teaching and learning about media in PE lessons from the perspective of the teachers interviewed.
