<p>As global populations surge and urbanization intensifies, the demand for resources rises, while waste generation reaches unprecedented levels. The circular economy model offers a promising framework to address these challenges by emphasizing the reclamation and repurposing of resources, in order to minimize waste production and environmental impact. Herewith we explore the innovative integration of sewer mining and rapid decomposer units as transformative technologies, promoting circularity in resources management. Solutions such as harnessing the potential of wastewater streams and leveraging advanced decomposition processes, not only mitigate pollution but also generate valuable resources, fostering a sustainable and regenerative approach to resource utilization. The principles, applications and benefits of sewer mining and rapid decomposer units are elucidated, highlighting their pivotal role in advancing the circular economy agenda. Comparison of the results obtained to legislation levels, demonstrated that recycled water is sufficiently suitable for non-drinking uses, such as irrigation. However, compost produced from sludge requires additional treatment relatively to its nitrogen content and particular attention during raw materials selection, due to the presence of metals in urban sewage. It becomes evident that, despite the weaknesses, compost production from sludge can be realistically feasible.</p>
