Valorization of Nutritional Value of Peanut Agricultural Waste Based on Combined In Situ and In Vitro Gas Production Methods

摘要

The aim of this work was to develop combined in situ and in vitro gas production techniques to ascertain the kinetics of DM and  crude protein (CP) degradation of an ensiled mixture of peanut and maize forage. In this experiment, it was introduced Corn fodder in 25, 50, 75, and 100% of the place of peanut fodder using 3 replicated indigenous cows with rumen cannulas.  The degradation procedure for dry matter (DM) and CP of mixed silage composed of peanut and corn fodder was conducted in vitro and in situ techniques.. The results were statistically significant when compared completely random design (CRD) with 3 replicates per each treatment. Our results demonstrated that there was no discernible difference in the degradability of dry matter combined with 25% peanut and corn fodder up to 48 h compared to corn silage. A further novel finding is with a DM degradability potential of 80–72%, the silage containing 25%peanut fodder suggests that using up to 25% peanut fodder in corn fodder silage is feasible. From the results, the treatment containing corn fodder produced more gas after 96 h of incubation, and the amount of gas produced decreased when peanut fodder was added. In addition to Peanut fodder in the silage mass improves degradability in the experimental treatments, and there is no statistically significant difference between the fodder mixtures. On this basis, inclusion of 50–75% of peanut feed can be ensiled as a blend with corn feed, and it has a tolerable nutritional value and potential for decomposition.
