Bio-valorization of Secondary Metabolites Produced by Actinobacterium SRV02, Isolated from Shell Waste Environment Combats Clinical Bacterial Pathogens and Ameliorates Anticancer Effects Against Lung Cancer Cells

This investigation was performed to analyze the biological efficiency of metabolites extracted from actinobacterium, SRV02 strain. The doses of MIC and MBC signifies the control of bacterial strains and maximum inhibition. The presence of chemical metabolite-rich ethyl acetate extracts was responsible for the bactericidal effects. Furthermore, the cytotoxic capability of an ethyl acetate extract rich in metabolites was evaluated using non-small cell lung cancer cell lines. The changes in cell morphology were confirmed through different AO/EB, Hoechst and DCFH-DA fluorescent staining. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis were used to confirm the presence of chemical components in the crude ethyl acetate extract. The FT-IR analysis revealed the presence of alkanes (C-H stretch), primary amines (with C = C stretch), alkanes (C = C stretch), aliphatic amines (C –N stretch), then carboxylic acids (O –H bend) and alkanes (C– H) stretching vibrations. The compounds including Hexadecane, Eicosane, Heptadecane, Cyclohexane and Hexadecenoic acid were confirmed using GC-MS analysis. Overall, this result provides the therapeutic roles of secondary metabolites derived from actinobacterial strain and it could be useful for biomedical applications.
