The structures of electron-acoustic solitary waves with regularized \(\kappa\)-distribution in a two-electron-temperature plasma

摘要

The characteristic of electron-acoustic (EA) solitary waves is investigated in an unmagnetized collisionless plasma system comprising cold electrons, superthermal electrons which follow the regularized \(\kappa\) κ -distribution (RKD), and stationary ions. The nonlinear structures of EA waves (EAWs) are obtained using a modified Korteweg-de Vries (mKdV) equation derived through a reductive perturbation method. The effect of superthermal index \(\kappa\) κ , the hot/cold electron density ratio \(\alpha\) α and cut-off parameter \(\beta\) β on the nonlinear wave structures of EAWs is discussed. The results indicate that the presence of superthermal electrons has a fundamental effect on the nonlinear EA structure.
