Multifractal detrended fluctuation analysis approach to the monthly total ozone concentration over New Delhi, India
摘要
In this work, we have reported a study that used the Multifractal Detrended Fluctuation Analysis (MF-DFA) to analyse the multifractal characteristics and scaling behaviour of the monthly total ozone data in the New Delhi, India region for the years 2017 to 2021. We looked at the total ozone concentrations from a multifractality perspective. After creating new profiles from the time series and dividing the new profiles into equal-time-scale, non-intersecting segments, we fitted second order polynomials to each segment in order to remove the local trend, and we computed the detrended variance. We have determined that the total ozone time series display multifractal behaviour after applying the MF-DFA because the fluctuation function produced by the MF-DFA is dominated by segments with significant variance.
