<p>With increasing competition of this market, organizations are more and more emphasizing reliability improvement to enhance product quality, safety and the performance, to boost the customer satisfaction and reputation of the market. An analysis and reduction in product warranty claims becomes a growing need and a complex issue in itself, this study seeks to address this with a special interest on mixer grinders. The main objective of this paper is to develop and validate a framework to reduce warranty claims using Six Sigma DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve and control) methodology. The literature review was done, which covers the reliability improvement, reliability analysis, and application of Six Sigma on quality management. Having learnt from the insights, the DMAIC approach and corresponding statistical tools and techniques were used to design the framework. The research of collecting and analyzing warranty claims data of 18&#xa0;months for mixer grinders. The framework was validated using statistical methods and impact of proposed improvement measures was assessed. In addition, insulation, brush improvement, speed selector switch modification, and overload switch increase were key technical enhancements. Thus, the mixer grinder was found to be reliable up to 95.88%, which matched up to the industry standards of 85%. These changes all the way from reducing product returns by 59% (from 5900 to 2400&#xa0;units) and also dramatically lowering warranty costs from Rs.&#xa0;7,670,000 to Rs.&#xa0;3,120,000. This not only improved the product durability but also delivered a major exposure in customer satisfaction and consolidating the organization’s market position. Overall, the developed framework merges technological advancements into commercial warranty analysis generating an objective based tool for OEMs to use to make data driven decisions on warranty cost management and reliability improvement. The implications of this study don’t stop with mixer grinders, it is replicable model for how other consumer appliances could be subject to quality improvement techniques to get similar results in product reliability and customer satisfaction.</p>
