Quick commerce: mapping a territory using bibliometric analysis
摘要
The quick commerce industry is an emerging sector in the Indian market. The ability to deliver a wide range of products within minutes or hours (mostly 10 min) is a key factor that attracts customers to these companies. In the Indian market, major players in quick commerce include Dunzo Daily, Swiggy Instamart, Big Basket Daily, Blinkit, and many more. These companies strategically place their warehouses or ‘dark stores’ in densely populated areas, and delivery personnel collect orders from these dark stores and deliver them to customers within minutes. Quick commerce is an extension of the e-commerce sector. The major factors that have led to the success of quick commerce are the rise of digital infrastructure, technological advancements, and innovations. In this research paper, we discussed the emerging trends in quick commerce. We collected 1294 research articles from the Scopus database and filtered 86 relevant articles. We analyzed these articles using tools such as the bibliometric library from RStudio and VOSviewer. Using the bibliometric library, we performed descriptive statistics, analyzed the Publication of articles by distinct journals, tracked author production over time, studied publication trends by countries, conducted keyword analysis, and performed citation analysis. With VOSviewer, network analysis, co-word analysis, and thematic analysis were analyzed. These visualizations helped us identify clusters of keywords relevant to the field of quick commerce.
