摘要

The study focused on examining the impact of four process parameters (cutting speed gas pressure, laser power and pulse duration) on the surface roughness (Ra) and kerf taper angle (KTA) when using Nd YAG laser cutting, for Hastelloy C 276. The tests and data describe the response variability as a function of laser cutting process factors utilizing a rotatable central composite design based on response surface methodology. Mathematical models undergo assessment for their appropriateness through the utilization of variance analysis and other metrics of suitability. The significant process parameters have been revealed, and the effects of those process parameters on responses such as Ra and KTA have been investigated. The laser power is a plays a decisive role in the result of the responses. Through the SEM analysis, the micro-details of recast layer, dross and striations were found on the cut surfaces. Based on response surface methodology, the parameters were modeled and analyzed to understand the better machinability of super alloy via Nd-YAG laser cutting process.
