Effect of thickness on some physical properties of CdO thin films: application as optical filter and photoconductivity
摘要
The thin films of cadmium oxide (CdO) were produced on a glass substrate using the sequential ion layer adsorption reaction (SILAR) technique. The impact of varying thickness on the optical, structural, electrical, and photonic properties, as well as the energy gap, was computed. The energy gap was determined to be 2.56, 2.43, 2.4, and 2.2 for thicknesses of 1.5, 2, 2.6, and 3.2 μm, respectively. CdO thin films may also be used as optical filters for lasers and yellow light-emitting diodes. The structural characteristics were examined using AFM and XRD. optical measurement using spectroscopy of yellow-emitting lasers and diodes. As the thickness increased, so did the electrical conductivity. The thickness affected the optical conductivity.
