摘要

Computer vision approach allows computers to perceive and analyze the visual world, mimicking human vision and comprehension of their surroundings by understanding visual information from images and videos. In this paper the above mentioned method has been utilized to provides a robust and cost-effective solution for detecting ladle shroud misalignment angles which significantly impacting the quality and operational efficiency of the metal casting process, apart from other capabilities like object detection, facial recognition, edge detection, pattern recognition, image classification, and feature matching. Camera-based detection offers a simpler solution comparing to other sensors, with a basic computer vision algorithm employed to achieve 3D correspondence of the shroud.
