Photonic crystal fiber based sensor for efficient detection of plasticizers: a step towards health and ecological balance
摘要
The quality of a healthy lifestyle is getting compromised due to excess use of plastic whether its food container, water container, medicine container and so on, unknowingly everyone is consuming plastic in the form of food, drink and medicine. Even tyres are made up of plasticizers such as BPA, BPS, and DEHP, which micro plastics are spread in the air, which leads to cardiovascular disease, respiratory disease, endocrine disruption, inflammatory bowel disease and other unidentified disease. Broadly, plasticizers are not good for ecological balance as well as healthy human or animal, so minimizing the consumption of micro-plastics by detecting them using efficient and appropriate sensors. To overcome this photonic Crystal fiber-based sensors will be used, this sensor exhibits significant sensitivity, negligible confinement loss. The proposed model demonstrates impressive sensitivity in sensing is 97.9%, 98.9% and 99.3% for BPA, BPS and DEHP respectively. The proposed shape of the sensor is elliptical which enhances the sensor acceptability and fabrication on possibilities. This research provides a robust, scalable solution with broad potential applications, contributing to the ongoing evolution of PCF-based sensing technologies.
