A novel technique Spanding for optical f-OFDM system
摘要
Visible light communication (VLC) systems use orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) for high data rates and reduced inter-symbol interference. Most of the future technologies are based on enhancing security because data has become the new oil nowadays and VLC thus, guarantees this prevention of data breach. However, systems that use OFDM-based VLC have a high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) due to constructive addition of each subcarrier signal. A novel PAPR -reducing VLC system for indoor applications is presented in this study, that keeps the PAPR within reasonable bounds and provides significant Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR). The paper examines the issue of high PAPR in f-OFDM (filtered OFDM) system using hybrid technique named Spanding. In this technique, 16-QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) modulation technique, PTS (Partial Transmit Sequence) PAPR reduction technique, companding and MLSE (Maximum- Likelihood Sequence Estimation) Equaliser are used for enhanced performance. The MATLAB (R2024a) Simulation results demonstrate decrement of 47% noise and 13% reduction in PAPR using hybrid technique. Addition to this, implementation of power control technique results in 1.8% interference only with 23.7 bps/Hz sum rate. The performance evaluation highlights the effectiveness of Hybrid technique for multicarrier transmission thus supporting next generation optical wireless networks.
