<p>A continuous-wave (CW) orthogonally polarized dual-wavelength Sm<sup>3+</sup>:LiYF<sub>4</sub> (Sm: YLF) red laser on the <sup>4</sup>G<sub>5/2</sub>→ <sup>6</sup>H<sub>9/2</sub> transition was demonstrated for the first time. Under pumping with a frequency-doubled optically pumped semiconductor laser (2ω-OPSL) emitting 10&#xa0;W at 479&#xa0;nm, a dual-wavelength red laser at 643&#xa0;nm in σ-polarization and 648&#xa0;nm in π-polarization was obtained with the total output power of 370 mW. The corresponding total optical-to-optical efficiency with respect to the absorbed pump power was 4.5%. Orthogonally polarized dual-wavelength laser play an important role in precision measurement, imaging and other applications. This work provides potential applications for dual-wavelength lasers in visible light.</p>
