Orthogonally Polarized Dual-Wavelength Sm: YLF Red Laser At 643 nm And 648 nm
摘要
A continuous-wave (CW) orthogonally polarized dual-wavelength Sm3+:LiYF4 (Sm: YLF) red laser on the 4G5/2→ 6H9/2 transition was demonstrated for the first time. Under pumping with a frequency-doubled optically pumped semiconductor laser (2ω-OPSL) emitting 10 W at 479 nm, a dual-wavelength red laser at 643 nm in σ-polarization and 648 nm in π-polarization was obtained with the total output power of 370 mW. The corresponding total optical-to-optical efficiency with respect to the absorbed pump power was 4.5%. Orthogonally polarized dual-wavelength laser play an important role in precision measurement, imaging and other applications. This work provides potential applications for dual-wavelength lasers in visible light.
