Tb/s semi reflective quantum dot SOA based majority voting gate using interferometric structure

The paper presents design and analysis of all optical majority gate using semi reflective quantum dot semiconductor optical amplifier (SRQDSOA) based interferometric structure for the first time using Matlab. The proposal uses cross gain modulation (XGM) and cross phase modulation nonlinearities in RQDSOA. The design is simulated using Matlab for practical feasibility. It finds applications in logic simplifications, error correction, threshold logic, arithmetic circuit, neural network and big data processing and therefore an important component of optical logic processor. In this present communication, logical expression and hence the design of the majority gate is so modified that it can give improved performance. Different performance indicating parameters like ER (13.83 dB, 17.51 dB) CR (18.13 dB, 23.35 dB), Q (13.13 dB, 17.12 dB) and REO (95.86%, 97.4%) are very high and signify efficient performance.
