摘要

The IEEE 802.11 standard, commonly referred to as Wi-Fi, has become an essential component of our daily lives, providing wireless local area networking (WLAN) capabilities. More than one billion Wi-Fi access points facilitate the connection of almost one hundred billion Internet of Things (IoT) devices, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktops, smart TVs, video cameras, monitors, printers, and other consumer devices. optic communication is a method of transmitting information using light pulses across an optical system Extensive research is being conducted worldwide to advance the technology of optical communications. Distributed Data Interface (FDDI) is a high-speed optical standard. It is an implementation that operates at a greater speed than a token ring network. The aim of this study is to examine the performance of WLAN based on Earthlink and the performance of WLAN based on optics when the Jammers interfered with networks and caused network deficiency in number of verifiable OPNET Modeler scenarios in terms of delay and throughput which are the best QoS measurement parameters of any network. The results showed the delay and throughput had been improved by the incorporation of optical utilizing FDDI objects and the results also showed that the Jammers caused delay and throughput degradation in WLAN which is based on Earthlink with only delay degradation in WLAN. The utilization of FDDI had improved the delay and throughput degradation which it is caused by the Jammers.
