摘要

In the present study, a dysprosium doped YCa4O(BO3)3 phosphor was prepared by combustion technique using urea as fuel at a constant temperature of 650(± 10)o C. The monoclinic structure with a Cm space group of the compound was studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD) which matched with JCPDS card no. 00-50-0403. Fourier transform spectroscopy (FTIR) investigation was carried out to observe the different functional groups in the phosphor. FTIR confirms the presence of B-O, Y-O, O-H, and COO-bonding in the material. Excitation spectra consists of several overlapping bands peaks around the wavelengths 326 nm, 351 nm, 364 nm, 387 nm and at 421 nm. Under UV excitation at 351 nm phosphor, shows blue (483 nm) emission corresponding to 4F9/26H15/2 in YCa4O(BO3)3:Dy3+ phosphor and yellow (574 nm) 4F9/26H13/2 transition respectively. The maximum emission intensity was observed for a 1 mol% concentration of Dy3+ ion. These observations suggest that the prepared material may be useful in white light-emitting diodes.
