Coupled propagation of Thirring-type q-Gaussian spatial solitons in electromagnetically induced transparent medium

Theoretical investigation on existence of Thirring spatial solitons (TSSs) modeled by q-Gaussian profile in electromagnetically induced transparent (EIT) medium has been presented. Paraxial approximation has been used to obtain the equations of motion for beam-widths of pump and probe fields. It is observed that the propagation of TSSs is exclusively supported by coupling of pump and probe beams with different deviation parameters in the regime of EIT medium. We have identified some constraints related to asymmetry, peak powers, deviation parameters, spatial widths that permits the structurally unstable existence of TSSs.
