摘要

Enhancing color retinal images is essential to identify different eye diseases and categorize eye problems accurately. Optical coherence tomography equipment is used to obtain the images, although they usually lack contrast and proper illumination. This research provided a new method for improving retinal color images. The intended use of the suggested technique is to improve the lighting (L) and contrast based on (Lab)—space while preserving color information (a, and b), where the Dark Channel Prior approach was used to improve the image initially. The rental images from drive data were used. The results reveal that the enhanced image produced using our recommended method performs considerably better when compared to alternative ways, where the recommended approach accomplished a magnificent average value quality scale for 40 images from drive data that the Natural Image Quality Evaluator (5.047331), Entropy (En) (7.424803), and Contrast Enhancement Measurement (0.541478).
