摘要

In this study, an idea to guide a high-power laser in a magnetized plasma is investigated. The application of amplitude modulation and magnetic field both are introduced for this purpose. A high-power laser pulse displaces the plasma electrons due to pondermotive force from the laser propagation and a density depleted channel evolves, which guides the laser beam for a long distance. The amplitude modulation enhances the gradient of pondermotive force and hence, the laser guiding. Additionally, the magnetic field contributes to enhance the laser self-focusing via suppression the plasma instabilities. Therefore, a noticeable enhancement of laser intensity may be obtained for the feasible laser plasma parameters. This kind of laser guiding may be useful for many applications, where long propagation of laser is required.
