Study of the structural and optical properties of cadmium oxide prepared by the pulsed laser deposition method

In this work, the structural and optical properties of cadmium oxide nanoparticles were created and studied after depositing them on glass slides by the pulsed laser deposition method. In this technique, different laser energies were used to deposit cadmium oxide, namely 600, 700, 800 mJ, with the number of pulses fixed, which was 200. In practice, it was found that as the laser energy used in the system increases, this leads to a decrease in the average nanosized size of the cadmium oxide particles, reaching a minimum value of 0.0327 nm. Optically, it was observed that there was an increase in the absorption spectrum of cadmium oxide, especially at the peak wavelength of 290 nm, when the laser energy used increased.
