摘要

In neutron computed tomography (NCT) using charge-coupled device (CCD) detectors, stripe artifacts in a sinogram occur due to flawed or poor detector elements, which induce concentrated ring artifacts in the image. Such ring artifacts hide subtle elements of the region of interest of the image. An effective ring relic elimination system needs to be created depending upon post processing. In the separated sinogram, those ring relic positions are recognized, and faulty lines are remedied according to a back-projection algorithm. This article presents strategies for the detection, classification, and revision of ring artifacts in the sinogram area. The suggested method is suitable for NCT images with parallel shaft geometry. The identification algorithm depends on information-driven thresholds estimated on the mean and contrast of the sinogram. The ring artifacts have three types. Hence, a separate revision is required for each class.
