摘要

Using a solid-state method, Sr5(Si2O7)Cl4 doped with Eu2+ ions was produced at 750 C. The X-ray diffraction pattern, the emission and excitation spectra of photoluminescence, and the long-lasting luminescence were all measured. Inorganic luminescent materials and phosphors are essential for imaging (computed tomography), displays (such as cathode tube displays and field emission displays), lighting (such as fluorescent tubes and LEDs), and other applications. Thermoluminescence spectra and the TL emission curve show that Eu2+ serves as the luminescence center. Rare earth phosphors are intriguing because of their amazing luminous properties based on 4f-4f or 5d-4f transitions, as well as their many uses in solid-state lighting and display technologies.
