Integration Gold Nanoparticles And Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy For Compositional Analysis of Ti-6Al-4 V Applying Calibration Free Approach
摘要
This article explores the coupling of AuNPs with laser induced plasma to present a remarkable enhancement in the intensity of selected emission lines. Induced plasma resulting from the interaction of Nd: YAG pulsed laser at 1064 nm with Ti-6Al-4 V surface. Enhanced signal emission was observed using the Ti I and Al I spectral lines at 392.9 nm and 393.4 nm respectively after adding gold nanoparticle. It was obtained that the spectral emission from the Au modified surface had a greater improvement than that of unmodified one. Quantitative analysis was deduced by Calibration-free laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (CF-LIBS). Plasma temperature has given using Boltzmann plot and found to be 8858 K for pure and 9834 K for coated Ti alloy with Au NPs. Boltzmann-Saha equation has been used to calculate electron density. Elemental concentrations have been determined and compared with EDX results. A clear reduction in relative errors from)0.62 to 0.25(%for Ti from (4.80 to 2.13)% for V and from (8.22 to 1.58)% for Al has been stated.
