Modelling of photonic crystal based ring resonator sensor for cancer detection using infrared laser
摘要
In this article, modelling of photonic crystal-based ring resonator for the detection of the cancer cell has been proposed with the help of infrared laser. The model exhibits high Q factor (600–650), lofty selectivity (1 nm /RIU) with foot print area 45 µm2 for sensing the different cancerous cells. The parameters of the design are optimized for sensing cancer cells in the sample based on their refractive index values. The proposed device has been modelled by considering the FDTD simulation method which confirms the distinct resonant wavelengths for different cancer cells. The device has explored the possibility of highly selective label-free cancer cell sensing.
