Duffing–hologram technique in encryption information

摘要

Since secure communication regarding optical digital images has emerged as a hotspot for research, the problem of information security in photonics environments has garnered increasing attention. This work provides a system for encrypting images, data, or information with the use of a novel approach that combines chaos also known as nonlinear dynamics with computer-generated holograms. Using Fraunhofer diffraction and the MATLAB software, this method was numerically prepared. Experimental studies demonstrated that computer-generated holograms could just be simply decrypted by rebuilding them, which prevents confidentiality and security in communications and information transfer. For studying the possibility of utilizing such technology in secret communications as well as transferring information in complete confidentiality without penetration, this method was thus linked to one of the chaotic systems, namely the Duffing system. This was accomplished by performing numerous mathematical calculations, like multiplication, addition, and division for two matrices of Fourier transforms for the information or images to be encoded and for the Duffing attractor that was generated by analyzing and studying the entire system. With the use of the arithmetic division procedure, the results did in fact demonstrate the complete encryption of the image to be encrypted as well as the entire erasure of its features.
