Unveiling optical solitons in twin-core couplers with Kerr law of nonlinear refractive index using improved modified extended tanh function method
摘要
This study investigates the highly dispersive solitons in optical twin-core couplers with the Kerr law of nonlinear refractive index using the improved modified extended tanh function method. Twin-core couplers with Kerr nonlinearity exhibit interesting dynamics due to the interplay between the nonlinearity and the coupling between the cores. In these systems, the refractive index changes proportionally to the intensity of the light, leading to the formation of solitons and other nonlinear phenomena. The governing equations for such a system, incorporating Kerr nonlinearity, are the coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations. To obtain different types of solitons, the improved modified extended tanh function method is used. This method provides various kinds of solutions, such as singular, bright, and dark soliton solutions, as well as Jacobi elliptic solutions, which indicates the strength of the technology used. In addition, the article provides visual representations of these solutions through 3D and 2D diagrams, which helps in understanding their behaviors.
