High efficient employment of hybrid space division multiplexing/time division multiplexing techniques in active/passive optical transparent networks
摘要
This paper has demonstrated the high efficient employment of space division multiplexing and time division multiplexing techniques. The high performance efficiency of these networks are demonstrated based on the selection of routing algorithms in active/passive optical transparent networks. Various routing algorithms are employed for average optimized link utilization and average optimized setup network time. Arrayed waveguide grating and optical cross connect are employed with single path and multi path in the routed lighted networks. Space division multiplexing is demonstrated through the transparent networks to upgrade the total number of available links per single or multi mode fibers. Time division multiplexing method is also demonstrated to upgrade the total system capacity product through the optical transparent network. The network blocking probability is higher in multi path in compared to sing path through the optical transparent network and consequently have based effects on the link utilization. Average set up time is degraded in multi path in the comparison of single path through the lighted transparent network.
