Design of beam splitters by using double defect layered 1D quaternary photonic band gap structures
摘要
In this note, design of beam splitters are demonstrated by using double defect layered 1D quaternary photonic band gap (PBG) structures. This structure can divide light beam of a particular wavelength into two light beams. The wavelengths to be splitted and splitting ratio of this double defect layered 1D quaternary PBG structure can be easily chosen by changing the structural parameters of the 1D PBG structure. This kind of beam splitter finds application in optical instrumentation.
