Study of the structural and optical properties of CdS prepared chemically and used as gas sensor
摘要
In this work, cadmium sulfide deposited on glass substrate at annealing temperatures 300 °C using chemical spray pyrolysis technique. X-Ray diffraction, UV–visible spectrophotometer, Hall effect were used to analyze cadmium sulfide thin film for crystal structure, optical, and electrical properties. XRD forms of CdS nanostructure display hexagonal structure with one recognized peak (111) at 300 °C annealing temperature. The optical properties of CdS thin film were determined the spectra and the energy gap was 2.25 eV at 300 °C. The results of the gaseous sensor showed that the best sensor that could be obtained was at an ambient temperature of 150 °C, where the sensitivity value was 53.52%.
