Transmission of 40 Gb/s − 20 GHz Ro-FSO communications system under dusty weather conditions
摘要
In this paper, the Ro-FSO communication system is investigated in dusty weather conditions. The proposed communications Ro-FSO system was designed with an Optisystem program (v. 20), which consists of four transmission channels. The data rate was 2.5, 5, and 10 GB/s for each channel. The total data transferred via the atmosphere are 10, 20, and 40 GB/s. The system was able to transfer data for a distance of 0.5 km under the conditions of a dust storm and a distance of 2 km under the conditions of blowing dust and dust haze, with a high Q-factor. The results showed that the wavelength (193.1 THz) is the best for transmitting data (2.5 and 5 GB/s). While the wavelength (193.4 THz) is the best for transmitting data at a rate of 10 GB/s. Besides, the BER is increasing with an increase in the concentration of dusty weather. The eye diagram is spreading as the data rate increases.
