A Scheimpflug conditions-based binocular stereo vision system
摘要
A new binocular stereo vision system based on Scheimpflug conditions is introduced in our paper. Two typical structures are given to meet requirement of measurement in different applications. Measurement models and related properties are given and proved out. Based on a sphere-based calibration method, the improved system can be calibrated precisely, namely determining transformation matrix between these two cameras. Experiments show that the root-mean-square error of measurement is about 0.014 mm with regards to the measurement area of nearly 180 × 190 mm. Compared with a traditional binocular stereo vision system, measurement error is reduced to 37.84%, while the measurement area is increased by about 87.91%. In conclusion, the proposed binocular stereo vision system can improve measurement efficiency and accuracy, which is more suitable to finish on-site measurement tasks.
