Nonlinear interaction of quadruple-Gaussian laser beams with periodic lattice of metallic nanoparticles: self-action effects
摘要
In this study theoretical exploration of the optical self-action effects involving quadruple-Gaussian (Q.G) laser beams interacting with a periodic lattice of metallic nanoparticles is presented. The numerical solution of the nonlinear Schrödinger wave equation (NSWE) for the incident laser beam’s field is achieved through the moment theory approach. The investigation delves into the detailed examination of self-focusing and self-phase modulation of the laser beam. Additionally, the study places emphasis on the self-trapping phenomenon of the laser beam, which arises from the delicate equilibrium between diffraction broadening and the nonlinear refraction of the laser beam.
