摘要

In the present period, phosphates are the new contenders for luminescence. In the proposed research article, simple combustion method using citric acid as a fuel was employed for the preparation of Sm3+, Eu3+ activated/co-activated Mg21Ca4Na4(PO4)18 phosphor. XRD of prepared phosphor is investigated. SEM is used to evaluate the proposed phosphor's morphology and elemental composition alongside elemental analysis of the sample. The proposed phosphors' vibrational properties were confirmed using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). Sm3+ and Eu3+ doped Mg21Ca4Na4(PO4)18 phosphors shows orange and red emission. By satisfying the energy transfer criteria of spectral overlap the energy transfer has been done from Sm3+ to Eu3+. The proposed energy transfer photoluminescence research reveals three contiguous emission peaks in the visible range that emits white light. All of these findings support the produced phosphor's suitability for use in WLEDs and display applications.
