摘要

We report the first confirmed record of the nectar-feeding bat Macroglossus sobrinus K. Andersen, 1911 as a nocturnal pollinator of Parkia timoriana (DC.) Merr., in Mizoram, India. Night-time observations over ten flowering trees revealed a strong unimodal activity peak between 21:00 and 23:00 h, during which nearly 55% of all flower visits occurred. Bat visitation frequency varied significantly across time blocks and was strongly associated with temperature and humidity, while no correlation was observed with wind speed. These results extend the known pollination range of M. sobrinus beyond previously reported genera and demonstrate its role as an efficient pollinator of P. timoriana in agroforestry landscapes.
