Molecular Characterization of Rare Predaceous Aquatic Beetle Methles indicus Regimbart, 1899 (Coleoptera: Dytisdae) from Eastern Ghats, India
摘要
The predaceous water beetle Menthles indicus is reported after a lapse of about five decades from India. The molecular phylogeny of the species has been described using CO1 gene sequence, which shows the species closely related to Methles cribratellus, by a genetic distance of 8–9%.
