<p>Play and sport are legally embedded in youth work according to §&#xa0;11 <i>Sozialgesetzbuch</i> (SGB)&#xa0;VIII, with an increasing use of sport and movement as methods in outreach youth work. However, research specifically addressing the role of play, sport, and movement within this context remains limited. The article addresses this gap by reconstructing various levels of play, sport, and movement relevant to outreach youth work in a&#xa0;marginalized urban neighborhood based on ethnographic data. In addition to the discursive level, the study analyzes prestructured play, sport, and movement spaces within the neighborhood, informally organized practices, and sport and play offerings within the framework of outreach youth work. These perspectives provide a&#xa0;nuanced understanding of the role of movement and sport activities in the social integration and participation of young people in disadvantaged urban contexts.</p>
