„Übe dich im Genuss!“

This article uses the example of the web portal lilli.ch to work out specific tendencies in current sex education programs and concepts. The aim is to make this understandable against the background of overarching social developments. In particular, the interweaving with self-optimisation tendencies, the underlying generational relationship, the understanding of sexuality and the subject are critically examined. The analysis is based on the sexual education and counselling platform lilli.ch, which is aimed at young audience with the goals of health promotion and violence prevention. The material (especially articles on masturbation) is subjected to a critical societal analysis, drawing on theoretical concepts from critical social work, sexual research, and (structural) psychoanalysis. The analysis shows that the goal of sexual health promotion is removing the boundaries of therapeutic approaches and addresses that work towards optimisation requirements and extends them to new areas of personal sexual life. At the same time, a changed approach to youth sexuality and a readjustment of generational relations can be recognised. In this, former authoritarian pedagogical measures appear to be replaced by sexuality-related exercise instructions under the premises of self-determination and self-care. The recipients, who are addressed as benefit-optimising individuals, are given an understanding of sexuality that promises manageability, eliminating the constitutive otherness towards oneself and others.
