<p>Background: The purpose of this study is to analyse the socio-cultural impact of these films on young people and identify the mechanisms of their influence and significance. Methods: The methodology of the study is based on the analysis of 15 animated short films from various countries (USA, China, Chile, Japan, South Korea, Germany, and the United Kingdom), as well as methods of synthesis, induction, interpretation, and content analysis. Results: The results of the study indicate that animated short films play a substantial role in shaping a tolerant attitude towards ethnic and cultural diversity among youth, fostering empathy and social awareness. The analysis demonstrates that these films effectively employ visual and auditory stimuli to convey complex messages, thereby promoting awareness and discussion of important issues. The thematic diversity of animated short films makes them accessible to a broad audience and helps to dismantle stereotypes and prejudices, facilitating social integration. Implications: Key themes in the animated short films include social justice, gender equality, environmental awareness, and personal responsibility, which contribute to the development of critical thinking and social activism among young people. Furthermore, animated films foster a sense of pride in one’s ethnic heritage and stimulate interest in the study of other cultures. The findings of the study confirm the potential of animated short films as a powerful tool for advancing social change and intercultural dialogue among youth.</p>
