摘要

Three species of Elcanidae, Paraxelcana coronakanthodis, Letoelcana artemisapollonque and Trigonelca jennywinterae Schall, Kotthoff & Husemann, 2023, are revised. Inaccuracies made in the original diagnosis, description and figuration of the specimens are corrected in light of the latest findings of the family’s morphology. Letoelcana artemisapollonque and T. jennywinterae are confirmed as valid taxa, whereas P. coronakanthodis is recognized as a synonym of Adelphellca zhengi (Gu, Tian & Ren, 2022). Because Paraxelcana was the first genus to be named, Adelphellca Schall, Kotthoff & Husemann, 2025 becomes a synonym of Paraxelcana. Paraxelcana now includes P. zhengi (Gu, Tian & Ren, 2022) comb. nov. and P. simplicissima (Schall, Kotthoff & Husemann, 2025) comb. nov. This review is an important step to provide clear diagnostic features of the addressed genera and species and allow for comparison with other Elcanidae.
