Synergetic Usage of Different Landslide Susceptibility Maps to Assess Landslide Hazard Potential in Wayanad District, Kerala
摘要
Kerala’s Wayanad District has recently drawn the global attention of Landside experts after the End-July 2024 event which wrecked havoc on the affected areas. Pertinently, this work holistically aims to reveal the landslide hazard potential in the whole Wayanad District of Kerala which enables to get us a glimpse about which part of the Wayanad district is further to be considered for the occurrence of landslides. This work takes cues from different thematic layers, most of which are satellite derived products and employ weights of evidence (WoE), Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) algorithm so that all the potentially hazardous areas come under the radar of mitigation and timely future remedial measures can be installed.
