Oplossingsgerichte aanpak: veel potentie, ook voor de (ggz-)zorgkosten in de huisartsenpraktijk?!
摘要
Mental healthcare is under pressure. Insight into approaches that can reduce this pressure are important. One such approach may be a solution-focused approach, which centers on what works for the patient. In a Dutch general practice that has used this approach for years, healthcare cost data from 2024 showed lower total healthcare costs (−5%), lower primary care costs (−8%), lower mental healthcare costs (−30%), and reduced medication use related to psychological complaints (−31%), compared with national figures. These results offer a cautious but hopeful suggestion that solution-focused conversations may help reduce mental healthcare costs.
