Toegankelijk monitoronderzoek voor mensen met een lichte verstandelijke beperking en/of laaggeletterden
摘要
People with mild intellectual disabilities (MID) or low literacy skills are at increased risk of health problems. However, they are not adequately reached through health research, resulting in lacking insights in their health and support needs. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of these insights for appropriate policy-making became even more evident. We conducted an inclusive survey using a modified questionnaire to monitor the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the health of individuals with MID and/or low literacy skills. In this article we describe our inclusive approach and we share our best practices for future health research.
