<p>This article discusses the updated 2024 European Society of Cardiology guidelines on chronic coronary syndromes and situates them within the context of Dutch clinical practice. A&#xa0;working group was appointed by the Netherlands Society of Cardiology (Nederlandse Vereniging voor Cardiologie). It consisted of a&#xa0;general cardiologist, interventional cardiologists, cardiovascular imaging cardiologists, and a&#xa0;representative of the Dutch Heart Foundation (Nederlandse Hartstichting). This document summarizes the key recommendations and includes additional guidance tailored to clinical practice in the Netherlands, focusing on the risk-factor-weighted clinical likelihood model, the choice of non-invasive imaging modality, functional assessment of epicardial artery stenosis during invasive coronary angiography, and angina and ischemia with non-obstructive coronary arteries. It is intended for all healthcare professionals involved in the care of patients with chronic coronary syndromes and has been approved by the Netherlands Society of Cardiology and the Dutch Heart Foundation.</p>
