<p>This essay provides, in two parts, an overview over the growing diversity of international approaches towards anticipatory politics. The increasing number of debates about “futures” in political, social and societal developments shows one thing above all: the contemporary age of combined uncertainty and acceleration is calling almost every branch of traditional policymaking into question, including their theoretical bases. This essay first describes institutional initiatives and second contemporary exchange formats on the growing field of anticipatory politics.</p>
