<p>The study examines social media discourse among German politicians during the first year of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. It emphasises the role of social media in shaping foreign policy processes. The paper employs securitisation theory to analyse how arms transfers are presented as an (in)appropriate response to described security threats and are used by government and opposition parties to position themselves publicly.</p>
