The Hamas attack in October last year fundamentally changed the regional situation. This article aims to provide an overview of the developments since October 7, 2023 and at the same time shed light on the consequences of the attack for the regional players, especially the domestic and foreign policy consequences for Israel. Finally, possible courses of action for European and, in particular, German actors will be outlined.
